Bio

Erryn Arkin developed a passion in theatre and drama early on in his life. Lead roles on stage included his performances as Hamlet in various adaptations of the play.

He earned his degree at the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia, and further trained by studying screen acting at NIDA in Sydney and the Chubbuck Technique while based in Los Angeles.

From 2009 Erryn Arkin starred as a lead actor on the top-rating Foxtel series 'Crime Investigation'. Other credits include working on 'Rake' (ABC), 'Home and Away' (Seven), 'Blue Water High' (ABC), and 'Rescue: Special Ops' (Nine).

Arkin has recently completed work on films set for screens in 2010 and beyond. He will be playing a starring role in 'Equilateral' which is being developed by New Picture Films.

  • Erryn Arkin has secured a lead role on the new series of 'Crime Investigation' on Foxtel and Channel Nine, screening from 2009. The show is created by Graham McNeice Productions.
  • 'Madeline's Eye Test', a 2008 short written and directed by Arkin, is part of the official selection of films screening at the Your Indie Film Festival 2010 based in Canada.
  • 'Killer', directed by Nay Htat, recently had its World Premiere in the United States. The short film stars Erryn Arkin, Sabrina Brandon and Shaun Freeman, and is being screened at Australian festivals from April, 2010.
  • Erryn Arkin played the role of Mark Gillen on the series 'Home and Away', airing in 2009.
  • While in Los Angeles from 2008, Erryn studied at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio.
